Elephants and Friends, Thailand
Just north of Bangkok, near the river Kwai, Elephants and Friends is a retirement village for ex-working elephants. Once the animals have outlived their usefulness they are usually put down, here they are given a quiet place to live out their days doing the things elephants love most… eating and swimming.
